So I got to go to New York. I went to take the Redken Color Certification test. This was back in July and I just got my results. I Passed! which just mean that I am super awesome!! What made the whole trip awesome was that my sister went with me.

We had a great time. I liked New York, but I would rather hang out at her house with her.
She took me all over the city like a pro. We rode the subway with no problems.

I love her so much. I had a lot of fun with her!

Portland Zoo

We took a family trip to Portland so Tom could find the very first Geocache ever. So we though we would hit up the Zoo since we hadnt been there before. It is a really great zoo.

If you cant tell Oli is #5 and Ethan is #3. Which is funny cause that's their ages backwards.
This was Oli's mid game melt down. He though Ethan was running away from him. He didn't realize Ethan was just chasing the ball.

Ethan really did a great job, he finally gets how to play and was really good at turning the ball around to get into the right net.

Oliver really has a great smile.

I know I know. When did we have sunshine. It was hot enough for this, and they were loving it. This is right after I thought it would be fun to wash the car. Well Mr. Oliver though it would be fun to pour the entire gallon of car wash soap into the half gallon of water. Lets just way I wont be washing the car with my children for awhile. AND before the soap incident when we started washing Oliver FREAKED out because his hand and arm got wet/soapy while getting the sponge out of the bucket. (he doesn't like being wet unless swimming/bathing/or in his swim suit) So Let just say I'm not sure I will ever wash the car with him again.

Oliver is usually like me and does NOT like to share. But he was such a good share boy.

So last week I went with Ethan on his field trip to Pioneer Farms. So many memories of when I went there when I was 10. I was laughing pretty hard. NOTHING has changed since then and Im pretty sure the lady that took us on the tour was the same lady that did mine all those years ago.
He wanted to milk the cow untill the guy showed he how. There was no way he was toughing those utters. Too funny.

All the kids loved climbing all over the wet and slippery rocks before the tour startedl I am still shocked that no one broke there leg.

I just love this picture. My sisters came to visit in April and we had a blast. I didnt take any pictures cause my camera has been broken. But I just got a new one yesterday so I will be bloging again.

So like a lot of the girls that went to Brave Girls Camp I have been having a hard time even sitting down to write about it. There are no words to describe what it was like to be there. It was the most peaceful place I have ever been. And all I can think about is going back.

The women I met there were AMAZING. I have never felt more at home, not being at home, as I did there. From the moment I walked in and saw all the lights and pictures and SMILES and LOVE I new I was supposed to be there.

Life Changing FUN for Women is exactly what is was.

I am a total loser and forgot my camera so I have no pictures to post but it was beautiful.

We created lots of things. Now I have 2 boys and a husband and I typically don't have time to create things for me. I do at work all the time for other people and I love it but its not the same. I was able to create things for me. For no one else, just for me. I never do that. I WILL do that now. I feel its so important to get it out. And what better way to "get it out" than with some glitter and some mod podge. ( i still cant believe i never knew about that stuff )

One of the things that hit home to me was on the first night a wonderful woman spoke about her life. She has changed me...Forever. I am so grateful that she spoke. She spoke about having a choice in life. That you have a choice in every situation you are in, you have a choice. Easy or hard you have one. And that is something that I have been thinking about non stop since she said it. I do have a choice. I can be happy or sad. I can just do it and I can choose not to. I guess I have just always thought that you don't. And maybe I just always do what easy cause its easy. So I am just so grateful that I was able to listen to her speak.

I still am trying to find the best words but I am just speechless. I am so grateful that I was able to attend and that I was able to get to know Kathy and Melody. I can not thank them and the staff enough for EVERYTHING. No detail was unnoticed. And everything Luscious I mean Jeanne said that last night was right on for me. You guys are AMAZING.

We went to Maris Farms yesterday because the weather was so beautiful and not freezing and it hasn't rained for a while so it wasn't muddy like it always is. These pictures are backwards from the order this it goes in reverse.

While this picture was being taken Ethan had pulled something in the truck to make it roll forward. Luckily the guy had put blocks in front of the tires so it wouldn't roll. It did jolt me and Oli as we were trying to get of this thing.

Oliver loved this so much. I think the ride was crazier when me and Linny to Ethan when he was 18 months. And Yes I took my 18 month old on a monster truck ride and Yes is was AWESOME!

I went to a hair show on Sunday in Bellevue. It was one of the best I have been to. I Saw Redken, Sexy Hair, Loreal Professional, and then Redken again. They did some beautiful hair and showed us some interesting techniques. I cant wait to get to work and try some out.

When we were in Oregon Karli took us to the river to catch crawdads. I only caught one. It was to scary for me. Karli caught a really big one though. And Shell and Lin caught a bunch too. I was the biggest chicken. It was a really fun day.

Slackers

Ok So I have been a little busy. First off I got a stress fracture in my right foot. That means I cant run and that makes me extremely grumpy. (sorry Tom) Next I didn't get to run in my 5K on June 20. Again not happy. But my mom is a rock star and ran it anyway and did it in 34 minutes. I will post the results when they become available. Karli ran under my name and although she did not do it as fast as I would of (thanks anyway) she did beat my time from last year. Way to go Kar. Haylee busted it out in like 24 minutes and JJ was close behind her at about 25 or 26. They did great and all the pictures I took are on my moms camera.

The other night Ethan told me and Tom that he was having a yard sale. I didn't know he even knew what that was but apparently he does. He had all these things out and wanted us to bargain with him. He sold me those blue converse for $1. Gotta love yard sales.
Oliver is starting to make a habit of not wanted to take a nap even though he needs one. Crying endlessly and then finally giving in where ever he is. This is on the landing between the stairs.

Thankfully we have had some beautiful weather. So the other night when tom got home we took off to Mud Mt. Damn. This is Ethan's favorite place to go on a nice day.

He gets a little scared of the waterfall at first, but then he cant get enough of it.

Oli is a little pouty (ok alot pouty lately) So he didn't want in the water.

And I am not a bad mom the other pictures are on my moms camera. But here is one of Ethan opening his favorite present. A bumble bee costume (transformers) He is really into dressing up right now so he lived in this for 2 days after his party. I cant believe he is 4 already. Where has the time gone. He is so big now. We had a party on a Saturday and his actual birthday was the next Tuesday. Well we had his cake on Saturday and he told me when I showed it to him that this cake was supposed to be his Birthday cake not his birthday party cake. So on his birthday I didn't do a cake and he was like where is my birthday cake mom? We went to red robin and he got a Sunday but that wasn't good enough.

As you can see the bumble bee costume under the sweater that great grandma knitted him. I know its pink. And fortunately it fits me perfect. So I just got a new cute sweater.

The boys pretty much live on this when we are down at the farm. Toms parents just got them a second battery because they burn though the first one so fast.

We went to the Zoo and just let the boys play. We didnt go from animal to animal. We just kinda wandered and had a fun visit with a few of the animals. Ethan liked not being rushed to all the animals.

We stopped by the park in front of the zoo to play on the toys. Ethan wanted to swing but all they had was baby swings. He still fits just nice.

They love to color in the star fish room. It only lasted for about a second but we always leave with a nice picture.

Ethan totally went through a "no pictures please" phase and has now decided to be total poser. I love it!!

I have these pictures backwards but I just wanted to show everyone how much Oli wants to be just like Ethan.

Oliver's Birthday, and Other days

So this is a little backwards but I don't have time to switch back. Today was Oliver's 2nd birthday. We had some family over for a little party. He has been riding around on Ethan's big bike for a few months so we decided to get him his own. If I would have snapped the picture 2 seconds earlier you really would have seen how excited he really was.

Ethan is also super stoked about Oliver's bike.
He also received some cars and a Thomas train and Track.
I made him a sweet train cake. He is not obsessed with Thomas but he really likes trains. We are taking him to the Day with Thomas at snoquallmy in July.

I am really proud of this cake. It turned out better than I expected. And I am just glad that I made extra cake in case of an emergency. And I used them so this is it. I don't think I have ever seen a better cake.

And Oliver Loved it.

So, Sorry I have been busy lately. But here will be a good update. This picture is for my sisters so show you how small my bum is getting. And this is a few weeks ago so it actually looks a little better now. I'm not sure what Tom was doing taking pictures of my bum?.?. I guess he thinks it looks good too!

Here is me and Oliver. I just love him so much. We went to the doc today for his 2 year check and of course he has an ear infection.

Mothers day was great. We spent the day down at the farm. There is no better place to be when its nice. I got to lay in a hammock. it was so nice. The boys made us a great dinner and I made the most amazing turtle brownies.

The boys really got to ride there gator ALL day. They ran that thing till the battery was dead.

I have had to work for all of Ethan's soccer games/practice but Oliver gets to go with Tom. They get to have so much fun without me on Saturday's.

Ethan's team is the LIONS. I like the green shirts. He is having a blast so far.

I got a new niece last week. She was born 4-4-09 6lbs 14 oz 19 inches. Her name is Hailey Leona Wright. She is absolutely beautiful. So tiny. I just don't remember mine being that small. (Not that they were) She is a good baby for her new parents.

I finally broke down and bought some paint for the boys. There are some things I just don't want to clean up or get out and paint is one of them. But crayola finger paint is so easy to wipe up. They got it all over the table and there hands and it wipes right off. No hard rubbing. Oliver does not like having it on his hands so he only wants to paint until he gets it on himself then he is done. But Ethan could paint all day if I let him.

Ethan's last day of School

Ethan had his last day of school last week. We are very sad it is over but he will go next year too.

I just wanted to say that I read 3 books last week. Who would have ever thought that I love to read. And that I would or could read 3 books in one week. You might think no big deal, but to me it is. You are probably wondering what 3 books I read so I will tell you. Janet Evonavich had 13 books out about a bounty hunter named Stephanie Plum. I read books 5 and 13. And I cried so hard laughing they are so funny. Then I just read The Spellman Files but Lisa Lutz. Funny but not as funny as the Stephanie plum stories. But still funny. A very funny style of reading. So I would say that Lisa owes me $6 but I enjoy reading so much now I guess she is off the hook.

Seattle Childrens Museum

We went to the Children's Museum last weekend and of course the boys loved it. Ethan wants to go everyday but I am not driving so Seattle everyday. And it was very cold. But we were inside so it was OK. Ethan did say that he liked the Olympia Museum better. Luckily for me cause that one is closer.

Gel is not just for Girls!

So as a Hair Stylist I really want to do fun things with the boy's hair. (Not having a girl an all) But Ethan has been telling me that gel is for girls and he doesn't want any in his hair. So last week I tried to trick him and put some in anyway. He did not like it at all. So I figured that I would end the battle and not try again. So Yesterday he woke up with some pretty crazy hair, I asked him if I could spray it down with water so it wasn't so sleepy head looking. He says Mom I want to have my character hair today. Can we put gel in it? (his character hair is from him Mii) So I was all to happy that he actually asked for gel. So today he wanted it again.

I told them that all my dreams have come true because they let me style their hair.
Oli never has had a problem with the gel. But now that his brother has it he has to have it too.

It's Your Birthday!!!

Winnie had her birthday yesterday. I made a delicious chocolate cake for her. We had yummie tacos for dinner too. It was reall fun to have her here. We went bowling on Friday to really celebrate and of course I forgot my camera so i don't have any pictures of that.

After we had cake I took her up to my shop to give her a sweet new haircut. There is no way this girl is 30.

So this morning when we were getting dressed Oliver grabs the camera climbed up on the couch and says CHEESE!!! He loves getting his picture taken. We will see if this lasts till this summer when we get new family pictures. His new phrases are, "Awe Man" and "Do it"

The other night Ethan stripped down to nothing and was just running around the house. Sometimes I wonder about this kid. But after looking at other friends blogs my kid isn't the only one that likes to strip down.
One of Ethan's new favorite things to do is dress up and be the Survivor Man. So this is his survivor man outfit. And again here is Oliver loving having his picture taken.....Naked.

On Sunday we went up to Toms parents house. It was a little cold but we couldn't resist letting them go for a ride. Oli cant reach the pedal so Ethan is pushing if for him. They would be on that all day if we let them.

Ethan was taking a load to the fire pit. He was driving around picking up all the broken branches from this winter. This thing is cool because the back has a button so you can lift it and dump out the load.

Weird Weather

So going from playing outside in t-shirts a few days ago to this. What is going on? I am so ready for some sunshine. Believe it or not Oliver was kicking and screaming when I made him go in side. This kid is nuts. It was freezing.

And believe it or not Ethan and SM didn't fall and get wet. They made it back in side with only wet shoes.
This nut just loves sitting at the computer.

When the older boys go to school its just the 3 of us. They were being so silly on the stairs. Oliver loves to lay on them like this. He has only rolled all the way down them once.

Fun Week

We had a really fun week this past week. We actually had sun so we got to play at the park one day and play in the backyard another day. We went to the museum of flight one night. And we have just been having a blast having our family here.

Vegas Baby Ya!!

So we just got back from Vegas last night. We had a good time. I had to go to a Hair Show that was at Mandalay Bay. It was awesome. I think I took about 500 pictures. Here are just a few though. I went to 6 different classes while we were there. Tom went with me and so did 2 other girls from my work and there husbands also. On the last day we hit up the wax museum. It was really cool. Also I learned some cool things in my classes so if anyone wasn't to come see me so I can try them out just give me a call.

I don't know why I love Lincoln so much but he is my favorite president. Not because of any thing he did while he was president I just really like him. I totally touched his let.

I know everyone cant wait to see my new hair but I am not done with it yet. The cut is finished and today we are going to color it. So depending on how it turns out I might post a picture tonight after work, or in the morning.

Christmas Parts 2 and 3

This was the boys before church. Ethan was so excited to be a sunbeam he could hardly contain himself. When we put these cloths on he said, Mom I am so handsome. And aren't they? Nothing is cuter that boys dressed up. He calls these his sunbeam cloths and is so excited for his sunbeam breakfast on Saturday in the sunbeam room.

Tom's grandparents got this for the boys. Ethan's dream come true. Unfortunately there was about 18 inches of snow on the ground so he could only go forward and backward in the garage.
Huge hit though. And its got two seat for them. So no fighting because Oli is so content just going along for the ride.

This isn't even Oli's gift but he sure does like this remote control car.

How cute are these kids. We had a fantastic Christmas.

So I am going to get my hair done again and I am not sure what colore or cut I want. What are your oppinions? Short long dark light? Red? I will post a pic when I get it done.

Christmas Part 1

So far we have had Christmas at home. I love waking up in my own house Christmas morning. The boys as you can see got a riding horse and some cowboy guns and hats. They love it!

We still have to go to Nana's house and Grandma and Papa's house.

Not that we have been too busy, I just haven't been on the computer for awhile. The boys are good. We haven't been up to anything to exciting. Just hangin out at home. Ethan went to a really fun bounce house birthday today with Tom while me and Oliver hung out at home. Since the snow and cold is here we wont be leaving until it leaves.

As you can see we got some snow last night. Only about 2 inches, but enough to play in. We had to go inside pretty quick though because it was really cold. The snow didn't melt which means nether did the ice. I was really cold today.
Oliver did really like being pulled in the sled.

The three of them are always having a good time. Oli isn't sure yet if he likes this.

We had the last soccer game on Saturday. Ethan did really well when he wasn't taking off his shirt or picking his nose. Sicko.

Even at 3 and 4 these kids are really into it.

Yes this is in the middle of the game and No he is not paying attention at all.

He just git whacked in the head so he wasn't too happy.

He loves being goalie.

Last week we had family night and made a gingerbread house.

The boys loved it but wanted to eat it as we went.

Tom did a fabulous job with the trees.

For Thanksgiving we went to my sisters house. She made a wonderful dinner just like I like it. After stuffing as much food in my belly as I could we went to the church gym to play some games. Me and Haylee played some basketball while the kids rode bikes and kicked balls around. We had a great day.

The weather was really nice too. We are all wearing coats but we could have gotten away with long sleeves. It was about 61 there. We spent alot of time outside playing.
Ethan couldn't go fast enough on the swings or this one. Which is funny because he is usually a really big scardy cat.

Oliver and Lil Mark had a blast on Marks 4 wheeler. Mark was nice enough to take Oliver around for a while. Actually Oliver wouldn't get off the thing so everyone who took a turn had to give him a ride.

Megan wasn't aloud to ride it because she is to big but failed to tell me this and only got to the end of the drive way before she got busted and had to get off. Oliver was really excited to sit in from but it was short lived.

Busy Times

So we have been quite busy. Lisa and Amelia came to visit from Puerto Rico. We are having the greatest time. We are so glad they came. Karli and her family came up to see them so we were busy this weekend hanging out. Karli left on Sunday and on Monday we went to the Children's museum in Olympia. It was pretty small but it was so much fun we cant wait to go back.

This was a fun water table, you could put the slats is and race boats or balls or whatever you want down it.

The best part of the day was when I took Ethan potty and he got a little pee on the back of his pants. So when he felt it he had a total meltdown and had to take the pants off. The thing is we didn't have an extra set of cloths so we are sitting there and he is crying and trying to take is pants off in the middle of the museum, a girl that worked there must have hear us so she came over and told me they have some sweat pants or something he could wear and she could put his pants in the dryer. So she went to look for pants and when she came back all she could find were lime green girl stretch pants with butterfly's on them. Ethan did not want to wear these, but he really didn't want to wear his wet pants so I turned them inside out and told him they were just green boy pants. He still didn't want to wear them, but didn't want to go home yet so here he is in his girly stretch pants.

Here is Ethan hard at work shoveling the rocks into the back of the truck Oliver and Amelia were driving. He said it was hard work but he wants to go back as soon as we can.

Little Amelia likes crawling in this truck to drive it. She is sooooo little but she can sure get around. She is really good and pulling herself up and standing.

Ethan's dreams came true. Anyone who spends time with Ethan knows that he is totally obsessed with fire safety, and Ambulances, and fire trucks and calling 911 in an emergency. He tell me all the time he is going to be a fire man, a police man, an ambulance driver, and a poison control operator. So when he saw this he hopped right in.

Ethan found a tree full of apples and loaded up his basket.

Lisa went grocery shopping and got lots of fresh produce.

The kids were cooperating so we have a nice family picture. You would never guess it was freezing cold outside.

These guys had a sweet game of pit going on. They were kind enough to let me take a picture. I think Megan was cleaning up in this game.

We had some cousins come and visit. We were lucky to have them all sit for us in age order to get a great picture. We were just sad that out of the 13 we were only missing 4.

We are back

So our computer broke and now it is fixed. Thank goodness I have a smart husband who can fix it so we don't have to send it off. Anyway we have been semi busy. My work has been pretty slow and Tom has been on jury duty. But it still seems like we don't have a minute to breath. Ethan has had soccer and Oliver has just been Oliver. Word explosion has hit this week so he can pretty much say anything you tell him. He said cookie today. How cute is that?

This is Ethan at his soccer game. He loves to play goalie. He does this move every time he blocks a goal. He actually is pretty good. It is so fun to watch.

This is Oliver eating a "test" cupcake. I made cupcakes for daycare on Halloween. They have spiders on them. They turned out really good.

We went to my brothers for my nephews 2nd birthday. We had a good dinner and some great cake that Shawn made all by himself. (very moist) He got some tractor books and a tractor that Oliver kept trying to ride even though its not that kind of tractor.

He did really good an blew out both his candles.

Not What we Planned

So all I can say is that after we re colored my hair with a few modifications to the formula this is not what it looked like. We ended up frying off a rather large piece of the blonde which then threw off the pattern and the haircut. And that was not cute enough to post. So today we cut off alot of my hair (which I love) and in the picture it looks really brown but it is red still.

And if you cant tell by my pose I love it. (that's for you shell)
I didnt have time to color my eyebrows though so I will do that asap.

The Life Of A Hair Stylist

Well I decided to get crazy and do somthing I have never done before. Become a red head. I was totally freaking out but I love it.

Here I am as my usual blonde.

And here is a few angles of my red. We are still in Phase one of my coloring process so this isn't the finished product. On Thursday we will do the second round of color. Since my hair was so blown out platinum you have to color a few time to get the color to stick. And since red color molecules are so much bigger than blue and yellow they tend to fade twice as fast.

My sister Karli says it looks like a wig. So mean. I think its cute.
I have the same haircut. I didn't even get a trim but it looks so different to me now.

Here are the boys being silly. They have been getting along so well lately. I love having 2 boys. They are so much fun.

Here is Ethan before we left the house for his first day of preschool. I am a tard and I thought his first day was the next week so we missed the first day and his second day was his first day. He had to brown bag it cause I wasn't prepared. We have since gotten him a way cool batman lunch box. When I picked him up after school he told me he wanted to live at preschool. He loves it.
I had a girl at work curl me hair. I thought it would be too short but it wasn't. When I got home Ethan said it looked "BEAUTIFUL!" He is such a sweetheart.

On Sunday I went to a hair show and I was thinking that people that are not in my industry probably have no idea what they are and what we do there. We pretty much sit and watch. But they are always very entertaining. They usually have some good tips and techniques but they also have some really bad styles.

This guy thought this was so hot. I was a frizz puff on the top of her head.

Well if you have read any of my sisters blogs you know that we have been a busy bunch. First I drove down to Oregon with my Bro in law well he drove and Oliver screamed for 4 long hours. I stayed there and visited the family. Then I came home went to work came home from work, got on a plane and flew to Boise. Luckily I got there just in time and I got to spend a little time with my grampa. He wasn't doing well and they told us it wouldn't be long. Then the next morning I woke up to my moms phone call telling me he had passed away. I am just glad I got to hold his hand and have him squeeze me so tight. So after that we flew home for a few days and then I got back on a plane to go back for the funeral. Both brothers and all my sisters made it so it just made the whole trip that much better. While we were there we got to see Pompie and Donna. It was great to see them. Here is Oliver chillen on the floor.

Karli's House

So we went to Karli's house for a few days. There was an awesome fair that came to town so we got to go to that. Ethan Loved every minute of it. We got the kids bracelets so they just went on ride after ride. We went to a clown show and to the hypnotist. Me and Matt got picked to go up. Shocker but I did not get hypnotized. It was fun though.

Here is me with my lil sisters baby Lincoln. He is so little. I forgot how small they are at 1 month. He is a sweetie though he looks just like Lindsey.
Here is Ethan on the airplanes. Its kinda like the dumbo ride. You can make it go up and down.
Ethan and his cousin Millie on the roller coaster. I think they road this about 50 times. It was sweet that they got to be in the front row. I didn't get a picture but Ethan had both hands in the air. No fear for these 2.
Here is Ethan and his cousin Mark. Ethan only did this slide once and he was done. Mark on the other hand went down this slide about 100 times. No joke. There wasn't really a line so he just went over and over again.
They had this sweet fireman obstacle course. They had boots too but they were too big for Ethan. It was so cute. We had so much fun I think we will go back next year. It was well worth the money. It was so much fun seeing Ethan have so much fun with his cousins. Thanks Kar for the great week!!!

Gone Fishin

Last week my brother Shawn had a great idea to take the kids fishing at a U-Fish place. It was pretty fun. The kids just wanted to play with the poles and dip them in the water but me and Shawn caught some fish. I don't eat fish but I have a lot of fun catching them.

The First Game

He is number 7. Not a bad number. So they lined the kids up in order of number and each kid got to hit. The coach pitches to balls and if they don't hit it then they get the tee. Ethan did not hit the coach pitch but did manage to hit it off the tee. Its pretty funny all the parents are standing with their kid in the field. And when someone would hit the ball all the kids would run after it and tackle each other to get it.

I love that he is totally listening to the base coach.
He is on third ready to come home.

I missed this play but I bet he took her out on his way home. That's what I would have done.
He did pretty well. When it was his teams turn to go to the outfield he did not want to do it. So he sat in the chair with me for a little while. Then he went and took a turn hitting the ball again. I left and had to go back to work after that. We need to work on holding the bat a little more. He says its too heavy so we will see. He's only 3 what do you expect. He did tell me this weekend though that he wanted to play football. Ya right.

Ethan and Oliver love to take showers. Ethan just likes to lay down and Oliver likes to stand on him. They both laugh so hard.

T-Ball Practice

I missed the first practice but everyone said it was the funniest thing you have ever seen. All the kids tried to field their own balls and no one could catch. They could hit the ball pretty well off the T and most of them could throw. The batter helmets were too big for all the kids but Ethan. So that is one perk of having a big head. He was mad they didn't get to play of the real field. That one was too big for them. All in all he had a great practice. Unfortunately he will miss his first game. We will be in Idaho, but I will make sure he wont miss any others.

He has always had a great arm so throwing was no problem for him. The coach told him to throw the ball to 1st base but he threw it at the runner instead.
Then when the coach wasn't looking he threw the ball at his bum. Luckily they were practicing with tennis balls.

He was mad this lady was helping him. He already knows how to hit the ball so he was irritated she wouldn't leave him alone.

The Results are in

So the results are in for the 5K I ran in a few weeks ago. I placed 7th in my division. Not bad for my first race. My best friend Brenda got 6th. She beat me by just over a minute. So we are pretty excited about that. Our next race isn't until Sept 7th. We are running the Iron Girl 10K. So we will see how we do in that one. I will try and add the results link I hope it works.

4th of July and Silly boys

This was the first year Ethan actually stayed up for fireworks. When the first one went off he said, Mom!! Its just like at Disneyland!! He had fun with his morning glory. That was all I would let him touch. I don't mind watching fire works but I don't want to participate in lighting them off.

Ethan decided to share his pudding cup with Oliver while daddy wasn't paying attention. These two are always up to something. You cant turn your back for a moment.
And I just got a call from Ethan's T-ball coach. His first practice is this Saturday. I have to work so I wont get to go. I am pretty bummed but I will have Tom take lots of pictures.

When Lightening Strikes

So I pretty much had the scariest morning of my entire life. Me and my running partner/best friend/co-worker, Brenda went for our Thursday morning 4 mile run. Last night we had a bit of a lightening storm with some pretty wicked thunder but that was last night and early this morning. So we decided to still run (against my husbands wishes.) We made it about 2 1/2 miles and then the thunder came. It was pretty scary, and even scarier when the lightening came. So we were running pretty fast. All said and done and hour time was really good. So anyway when we were about to hit the last road crossing for our last 1/2 mile lightening struck about 6 feet from us. It hit a railroad crossing sign and sparks flew. I think I just broke the world record for high jump. It was so scary. So I turn to Brenda to be like oh @#$% and she is green. She says I got hit and she almost collapsed. I caught her before she hit the ground and started getting out my phone to call anyone and she kinda gets up and tells me shes fine lets just get back to the car. So we get back to the car after the scariest walk because it is now a monsoon and the lightening is so close. I took her to the Doctor and she is fine. But I think I am still in actual shock. So If you get anything out of this story NEVER GO RUNNING IN A THUNDER AND LIGHTENING STORM. We are just so lucky we are OK.

Mud Mountain

On Wednesday we went to Mud Mountain Dam. I was such a great park that is so close I cant believe I never went before. The boys had a blast. There is a small pool that has a water fall in the middle you can kinda see it in the background. There is a huge grass area and tons of picnic tables. And there is 4 play toys and swings. The picnic table area's are covered and are really nice. It was just so much fun.

Oliver eating lunch. He eats twice as much as Ethan.
When Ethan went through the water fall he just laughed and screamed. I don't know if he loved it or was scared. He would only do it when Brenda went with him though.
He sure loves playing on the toys.
The water was a good temp. and Oliver could stand in it by himself. He just keeps trying to dunk his head so I had to watch him like a hawk.
We had such a great day.

My first 5K

I am so fast the pictures are blurry. It was so much fun. My time was 33:10 which is my best time so far. I normally run 3 miles in 34 or 35 minutes so I was really happy. There was about 250 people running and I was 140th so not to shabby.

I started running right after my sister ran her first 1/2 marathon. Me and my fabulous running partner are up to 5 miles. It feels so good to run. She runs about a minute faster than me. She finished in 31:56. Now we are looking for a 10K in August. It was a great time.

Ethan's Birthday

After we got home from NWT we went to the trail that I run on. It is really flat so it was perfect for Ethan to ride his bike and Tom and I to roller blade. He did such a good job pedaling and steering.

We had to help him a little.
Oli was just chillen in the stroller. He liked it when I pushed him really fast. He really enjoying looking at all the beautiful green trees, and birds. We didn't see any bunnies though. Usually when I run we see a couple. We saw a snake on our 5 mile run last week.

Here he is doing such a good job riding. He fell 2 times. The first being my fault. I had him going off the side in the grass and the bike fell over. We laughed and I said WIPE OUT he thought that was pretty funny and helped him not be scared. The second fall he just turned the wheel to hard and fell off. So we did the same thing and he laughed. No scrapes though so that probably helped. All in All we had a fabulous time all day.

Ethans 3rd Birthday At NW Trek

We went to North West Trek on Ethan's actual birthday. He had a great time. The Tram ride was the first thing we did. It was an hour long. Too long for the 8 kids we had with us, but it was fun. The animals were really close up to the tram so we got alot of them really well.

At one point he stopped paying attention to the animals and just wanted to kiss and hold baby Ryan. I think she is his new girlfriend.
Or maybe Brittney is. He was loven up on her alot too.
Here is a buffalo. They were in the road so we had to wait a little bit to move on. They were so big and so close.
This is the oldest goat I think they said in the world. It really looked like it.

Ethans 3rd Birthday Party

Ethan had a really great birthday party. Most of his friends and family were able to come and celebrate with him. He had a great Spider man cake that I didn't attempt to make my self. I left that to Safeway. They make really tasty cakes.

It wasn't super hot but warm enough to bust out the water guns. Ethan really enjoyed shooting everyone he could. His great grampa was a maniac and pored buckets of water on everyone he could if he knew them or not.

We got him his first bike for his birthday. Since he learned how to petal this year we thought it was time for this. He really likes it and wants to ride it in the house.We told him he had to take it outside from now on.

A Sunny Day

Sunday was such a sunny day. We busted out the pool and the sprinkler under the trampoline. We had both grandma and Nana on it jumping up a storm with Ethan. Oliver didn't like the cold water in the pool so he wouldn't get in, but he got wet enough with Ethan splashing him.

I wasn't sure how I felt about Ethan touching the lawn mower, but what the heck he had fun. How cute are little kids. Everyday I still look at them and think, How the heck do I have 2 kids.

I just love watching them do new things. Tom had a great start to fathers day. He got to mow the lawn. Well its his fault he waited. He did get a good start though. I let him sleep in and then I made him french toast (his favorite) and I don't think he changed one diaper all day.

My Ethan has been too funny lately. A few weeks ago he was in the bathtub and he says, "MOM!!!" I say what honey? He says "My pee pee is broken!!!!" I say how is it broken? He says "There's a hole in it!!!" I say that's where your pee comes out. He says "IT IS!?!?!?!" This kid is hilarious.

He loves going and visiting Papa. This was the first time he even sat on the tractor. He loves tractors but not to sit on them. He always goes on gator rides so this was a big deal for him to sit on it. He even moved the bucket up and down and drove it around a little.

He hasn't been taking naps for a while, so now he will just crash on the couch when ever he feels.

This is at Papa and Grandma's house. He runs so much when we are there he takes great naps.
I think I might have already posted this one but I just think its so cute. He loves playing Mario kart even though he just drives off the edge.

Olivers 1st Birthday

We started Oli's birthday at Goofy's kitchen. We had a great breakfast, he was a little scared of the characters but not too bad. They came out and sang happy birthday to him and brought him this yummy cupcake. He didn't eat it though.

Then we had a second cake at dinner. This was a much better cake. It was shaped as Mickey Mouse. It was really cute and he had fun eating it.Not quite as messy as Ethan was at his first birthday, but he still required a bath when he was done.
He really liked sweets. And since he is the second child he gets a lot more than Ethan ever did. I kinda let loose and let then go a little crazy with the sweets because we were on vacation. They were both on a nice sugar rush.
And this is as messy as he got.

This is just outside the Mad Hatter Hat store. Ethan decided to go with the pirate mickey ear hat. Good choice I though. How cute is he????!!!!

Ethan likes this surf board. It sprayed water so while it was spraying he jumped off and soaked his foot. Silly boy.
Here is Oliver checking out Toad. It was a wild ride. I always forget that on this ride it goes through "hell" and you just get drenched with heat. You gotta go on it though.
As you can see Oliver has no shoe on. I am going to call him the shoeless boy. This kid is always missing one or both. We are lucky we didn't really lose one. It always seemed to turn up.
We loved seeing Mickey Mouse. Oliver even liked him. But boy does it gotta suck for those people.. They have to be so hot. And dealing with bratty kids. I am a happy person but I couldn't do it.

Our Disneyland Vacation

Ok so I know you are expecting pictures but since my new memory card is a major P.O.S, I am unable to move them onto my computer until my husband comes home tonight. We had an excellent time. Both boys were great. Al though Oliver just wanted to run around and we had to contain him, he had a bit of a hard time. And I am never flying with an infant again. Ethan did great though I would fly with him again. I will post again as soon as I can figure out this stupid memory card.

What a Week

So this week we got Mario Kart for our Wii. It comes with this steering wheel that you put the remote in and use it just like a steering wheel. Its pretty cool. Ethan loves this game. He mostly just drives off the edge but so do I so he does pretty well. He was just playing and the next thing we new he was passed out in the middle of the game. It was pretty cute. Oliver is just so silly. He smiles like such a cheese ball when you say CHEESE! And he does this all the time. Or if you just smile really big at him he will do his cheese smile. He is such a smiley baby when he wants to be.
Getting ready for our trip. So we made a chain with Ethan last week. We are going to Disneyland on Saturday so we figured it was time. He had a lot of fun doing is "Art Project" He made the whole thing by him self. Except for the cutting part. He was so happy when we were done. This trip has been planned for about 6 months so I am so excited that it is finally here almost. We will be flying with Toms parents and Nana so 5 adults for 2 kids should be great.
Oliver just loves the John Deere Buck. He either rides it around the living room or uses it as a walker. Even though he can walk. He has been full time walking for about 2 weeks now. But if he cant get somewhere fast enough he will just sit down and cry.

And the baby ruth. So last night after I put Oli to bed I decided to drive down to Sumner/Orting to find the foothills trail. Me and a friend just started running together so we wanted to run the path but didn't know where it was. So anyway me and Ethan drove down there to find it. We found it so then I need to do a work bank deposit and get some milk for Oli since he is now done with formula. So we go into Fred Meyer and look around at some things. I got a new watch with a stop watch for my running and at $9 who can beat that. Then we get the milk and of course some ice cream. We get in line and I see Ethan looking at all the candy. So I say no candy bud we got ice cream for a snack tonight. And I turn to run my debit card. The guy working asked me a question about the ice cream because it was in a weird size and then we left. As we are walking out of the store Ethan says mom can I have my candy. I'm like, we didn't get candy bud we just got ice cream. He says no mom its in the bag. I look in the bag and the little booger put the candy on the belt when we were checking out and I was talking to the cashier so I didn't notice. I did not and Have not given him the candy. At least I paid for it right?

What a Week

So to start, Look at those big fat chubba lubba legs. They are much bigger in person. He is such a small baby but then BAM he has got some chubby legs. He is soooo cute.

Then lets go over to the Grimmer family. I don't know why someone took this picture but this is Meg in between barfing. All 4 Grimmer kids were barfing all weekend. I had the pleasure of getting barfed on by the oldest. Thanks Hay. It has not hit us yet (knock on wood) But Kar keeps assuring it will hit any day.
On Saturday we had a fun baby shower for Linny. She got some really cute stuff and the cake was Delicious.
Ethan was enjoying the punch and some pasta salad. He loves getting his picture taken right now and saying cheese.
And this was Oli's hand on Friday last week. All of this skin has come off and it actually looks pretty good now. We don't have to wrap in anymore which bothers him a little. When we went to the doctor I had her check his ears and yes of course 2 ear infections. They need to clear up but the time we leave for Disneyland and it usually takes 2 rounds of meds to clear his ears up. So we will see how that goes.

Not a New Years Resolution

Do you ever stop to think how lucky you are? So as of lately I have been thinking. Since I am so lucky to have such a wonderful life why be negative at all. Every time I think I have something to complain about I am just going to try and stop myself and think what really do I have to complain about. Nothing. I have a wonderful husband that takes such good care of us. I have beautiful boys that just love me. I have the best family anyone could ask for. And I have a great brother that loves me enough to live close to me so our kids can grow up knowing each other. (that statement was not a shot at the other sisters who are unable to live here) I am just really lucky to have the life I have. So if any of you are big complainers, stop and think if you really have anything to complain about.

On another note, Oliver took his first real steps today. He didn't freak out and fall down he actually took about 4 steps. It wont be long now!!!
